ParkingPerks Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 9, 2026

The Short Version

We collect your phone number (and optionally your email) to send you perks. We don't sell your personal information. Ever. Merchants see that their offer was redeemed — not who you are. You can opt out or delete your data anytime.

1. Who We Are

ParkingPerks ("ParkingPerks," "we," "us," or "our") operates an SMS-based perks and offers program tied to participating parking locations. Our platform is accessible at parkingperks.co and via QR codes at participating Parking Locations.

Questions about this policy? Contact us at privacy@parkingperks.co.

2. What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you register your phone number:

  • Mobile phone number

  • Date and time of registration

  • Parking location where you registered

When you add your email (optional):

  • Email address

When parking payment is processed through ParkingPerks:

  • Vehicle license plate number

  • Vehicle make, model, and state of registration (where required)

  • Payment card information (processed securely — we do not store full card numbers)

  • Parking session start time, duration, and location

Information We Collect Automatically

When you interact with our web properties (including QR code landing pages), we may collect:

  • IP address

  • Device type and operating system

  • Browser type and version

  • Pages visited and time spent

  • Referring URL

We collect this data using cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 7 (Cookies) for more detail.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Social security numbers

  • Government-issued ID numbers

  • Health or medical information

  • Financial account numbers beyond what is necessary to process a parking payment

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Deliver the Perks Program

  • Send you SMS offers, deals, and promotions from merchants at the parking location where you registered and, if you've added your email, from businesses across your city

  • Send you event invitations, early-access notifications, and program updates

  • Track offer redemptions so merchants know their deals are working (without revealing who you are)

Process Parking Payments

  • Complete and document parking transactions where ParkingPerks is the payment processor

  • Confirm payment compliance and generate transaction records

  • Communicate parking session details, receipts, and confirmations

Operate and Improve the Platform

  • Analyze how the program is used to improve offers, timing, and relevance

  • Troubleshoot technical issues

  • Prevent fraud and abuse

  • Maintain the security of our systems

Comply with the Law

  • Respond to lawful requests from government authorities or law enforcement

  • Meet our obligations under applicable federal and state law

4. How We Share Your Information

What We Share — and What We Don't

Merchant Partners Merchants who participate in the ParkingPerks offers program receive anonymized, aggregated redemption data — for example, how many offers were redeemed, at what time of day, and at which location. They do not receive your name, phone number, email address, or any other personally identifying information unless you explicitly consent to share it (for example, by filling out a merchant's own form to claim a prize or extended offer).

Third-Party Parking Operators At locations where ParkingPerks redirects you to a third-party parking payment system, that operator receives only the information necessary to process your parking transaction — typically your license plate number and payment details. Their collection and use of that information is governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.

Service Providers We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate ParkingPerks, including:

  • SMS delivery providers

  • Payment processors

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers

  • Analytics platforms

These vendors are contractually required to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and to protect it in accordance with this policy.

Legal and Safety Disclosures We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of ParkingPerks, our users, or the public

  • Investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity

Business Transfers If ParkingPerks is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via SMS or email before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

What We Will Never Do

  • Sell your personal information to any third party

  • Share your phone number or email with merchants without your explicit consent

  • Use your information to contact you on behalf of unaffiliated third parties without your consent

  • Disclose your information to law enforcement without a lawful request, except where necessary to prevent imminent harm

5. SMS Communications and Your Choices

What You'll Receive

By registering your phone number with ParkingPerks, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS text messages, including:

  • Perks offers and deals from merchants at your registered parking location

  • City-wide offers and partner promotions (if you've added your email)

  • Event invitations and early-access notifications

  • Program updates and service communications

Frequency

We send offers when there's something worth sending — not on a fixed schedule designed to maximize volume. You can expect a few messages per month per location, not per day.

How to Opt Out
